Common fundamental errors of our time

Over the past several months, in my prayer, reading, reflecting, and visiting with many different people, there have been a number of issues that have come up, that seems like things are backward, they don’t make sense. It wasn’t until I read Msgr. Charles Pope’s article 8 Modern Errors Every Catholic Should Know and Avoid, that all of this somewhat fell into place. Msgr. Pope was able to put into words most of these issues. While the article is somewhat long, it is well worth the read.

Msgr Pope sums up the list of items to these eight items, but admits, there are more: 

1. Mercy without reference to repentance
2. Staurophobia
3. Universalism
4. Deformed Dialogue
5. Equating Love with Kindness
6. Misconstruing the nature of tolerance
7. Anthropocentrism
8. Role reversal
